Anastasia and her fiancé Kevin got engaged in Palm Springs, California so it was only fitting that they do their engagement photos in Palm Springs as well! The offbeat kitschy vibe is perfect for all my couples who want boho engagement photos. If you love bright colors and mid century architecture – look no further than Palm Springs for your engagement or wedding photos!
Anastasia found me on Instagram and contacted me gushingly saying how I *HAD* to do her engagement photos. Always such an honor when my clients find me and know that I’m *the one*. I absolutely adore being a Palm Springs Engagement Photographer and Palm Springs Wedding Photographer and being able to experience what I consider one of the most beautiful places on earth with my clients. If you’ve been following me for a while you know I love working with couples in desert environments (Like Las Vegas and other parts of Southern California) and LOVE bright and vibrant backgrounds.
Needless to say, I did a LOT of location scouting to make sure that she got the exact Palm Springs engagement photos that she wanted. And then I stumbled across The Saguaro. I don’t think any other place epitomizes Palm Springs as much to me as The Saguaro. They are a two chain hotel (With the other colorful hotel being in Scottsdale!) and it was a PERFECT spot for engagement photos. It being the middle of October when we did this engagement session – we thought it would be much cooler out since Palm Springs is normally in the mid 80’s during October. Well, as we all know 2020 is a complete bust so I guess it should surprise no one that it was actually 105 the day we did these photos.
The Saguaro is known for its rainbow colored walls and instagram famous pool parties Unfortunately, they do not allow professional photos taken inside of the hotel so we had to stay out front which was still GORGEOUS and just what we wanted. An important note though, you brides to be that are reading this and thinking about doing your engagement or wedding photos here. The exception, of course, is that if you are actually getting married at The Saguaro Palm Springs then yes, of course you can have a Palm Springs Wedding Photographer there *cough* me *cough* so if you REALLY want to be able to utilize all the nooks and crannies for photos just keep that in mind. See my blog post where I specifically gush about the Saguaro Palm Springs and why it’s perfect for your Palm Springs wedding.
Anastasia and Kevin loved the relaxed luxury look for her photos. Anastasia donned a cute floral patterned jumper that showed off her gorgeous pregnant belly and Kevin wore tan shorts and a simple t-shirt that really fit the laid back casual vibe of Palm Springs; perfect for their engagement Photoshoot!
Make sure you see the second part of their session **HERE** where we ventured out to the Palm Springs Desert to take even more epic engagement photos!
