People who aren’t from Vegas kind of just assume everything is close to the Las Vegas Strip, which is false. Did you know that Valley of Fire is actually an hour drive from Las Vegas so you’ll need to plan appropriately. Here are your options on how to get out there:
Hire a private limo
Of course, this is normally what recommend to our couples who want a luxurious and worry-free wedding day. Our favorite! We aren’t partnered directly with any limo companies. However, a lot of our past couples have used Presidential Limos and have had great experiences.
Rent your own car
If you are on a budget or just want to drive yourself, renting a car for the day is likely your best option. Alternatively, you can drive yourself to and from your wedding with very little hassle. This couple of ours rented a sportscar and it was one of the coolest things we’ve seen for a while.
Of course, we are one of the few companies who holds an annual permit to document weddings here and include planning in our pricing to keep it easy.
You don’t want to get married here in the summer. Of course, it is unbearably hot in the summer. So, check out the chart below to see what time of the year would feel good to you. Traditionally, Spring (March – May) and Fall (October – November) are our popular months to get married in Vegas.
Firstly, it’s gorgeous. There is nowhere quite like it on Earth. We love the vast amount of red rocks surrounding the valley that to Mars or some other planet.
Your wedding must be booked through an authorized company (Like us!) and is subject to availability. We recommend booking a year in advance, but at a bare minimum require a week in advance Valley of Fire Weddings are popular! Of course, locations and permits are subject to the rules of the park. As an example, photos are not allowed on the road itself. No matter what Instagram told you!
The State of Nevada only permits a few companies per year to hold weddings in Valley of Fire, too. You will need insurance, a business licenses and a variety of other requirements that must be provided to the State of Nevada in order to be accepted. It’s a bit of an arduous process, we know. We handle all that for our couples!
So do not think you can just go out and do a wedding without a permit. The rangers are very active and do ask to see permits. We’ve seen people get kicked out of the park on thir wedding day. This is not the experience you want for your wedding!
Also, we are one of the few (I think there’s 5 total!) companies that hold an annual permit to have weddings at Valley of Fire.
This is one of the most popular elopement spots in Las Vegas for good reason.
Lastly, get in touch with us if you’d like us to plan and document your Valley of Fire Elopement. We make it as easy as possible for you.
Love what you see?
