Courtney and Aaron got married on a beautiful Spring Day with their closest friends and family in attendance.
Their ceremony was intimate and full of emotion (See the pictures of Aaron crying and mouth agape?!) and was such a joy to document. They picked a light blue and tan as their wedding colors which complemented the industrial vibes of The Doyle perfectly. With high ceilings, white walls, and exposed wooden/steel beams it was the stuff of fairytales.
Courtney and Aaron did a great job customizing the venue and their wedding. They wore ADORABLE matching Nikes (Of course, Courtneys were bedazzled because what bride doesn’t like shiny glittering shoes?!) and Aaron’s were matching blue, sans sequins.
With incredibly unique greenery throughout – the venue really came alive. With their married name, Johnson, artistically curated to be a wall piece upon entry to the venue to brightly colored flowers as table decorations it was a really unique idea that I haven’t seen done before. Especially with a pretty long last name! But it was gorgeous and really spoke to the level of dedication myself and all the other vendors had to ensure the day was nothing but perfect.
The Doyle is a new and really unique venue – especially for Las Vegas, which is associated with neon lights and bright contrasts. The owners originally bought this venue a few years ago and wanted to create an artist haven for fellow Las Vegas locals. So while their main events that are showcased to the world are weddings – there’s a whole other side (and building) dedicated to creating a space for artists to make their visions come to life. It’s an extraordinary and beautiful feat and I was so honored to meet them. I made sure to take extra photos of the chandelier – the owner told me that they had been eyeing these chandeliers and just couldn’t afford them at the time. A few months later, the chandelier owner ended up giving them to The Doyle for free since they remembered how badly they had wanted them.
In addition to that, The Doyle also keeps FARM ANIMALS ON SITE. From alpacas to baby pigs to chickens they have it. And man are these animals always so excited when it’s time to take couples portraits. With a little bit of bribery (treats) they are extremely well behaved. Even though they look like they’re ready to bite sometimes at most, they did a little love nibble.
It was such a pleasure photographing this couples wedding (Who is now honeymooning in beautiful Greece!) and I wish them nothing but the best in their lives together.
