Lauren and Chad had their dream wedding with 100+ of their friends and family in attendance. The venue they picked was SUPER unique in that it used to be a bank. Get it? “The Vault”. Pretty cool idea and is something I’ve never seen before. I LOVE weddings where the venue has an interesting backstory. There is so much history in the world around us that is easy to pass by, and when we pay homage to that we recognize the people and things that came before us. It’s very special, and I’m SO glad that Lauren and Chad chose this as their venue to say their nuptials.
They chose gorgeous purples and whites for a classic wedding that went into every detail. With her bridesmaids decked out in various shades of purple … from royal purple to lavender they were dressed to the 9’s and all looked absolutely fabulous.
Lauren chose a gorgeous floor length gown with an equally long veil (ps. long veils will make my heart soar – they’re so versatile during bridal photos and portrait photos after the ceremony!) from David’s Bridal.
Chad wore a classic charcoal grey suit with a purple argyle tie that matched perfectly. And of course, a little purple pocket square!
The amount of detail that went into every aspect of this wedding truly shows. When you’re planning a large wedding you’re not only tying the knot, but providing an inside glimpse of your life together and showing your appreciation to say thank you to the guests in attendance. By personalizing things that are simple like a tie, or even the napkins you choose – you are showing your wedding guests that you took the time to plan a wedding that was uniquely you.
The people you invite to your wedding are the people you care about most, and are allowing them a glimpse into your life. While the details at the end of the day are forgotten – the photos of those details will forever remind you of the time and effort you put into the design of it. And for most people outside the wedding industry – how often do you get to plan an entire day and design it from scratch?! Do it so that it’s authentic and feels like you. Plan it so that you can look back at this point in your life and realize, on that date, that is who I was.
