When it comes to your wedding venue, you want it to be everything you dreamed about. There are so many different venues out there to choose from, not only in your own country but for other destinations too. Here are four things to look for in a wedding venue to make it easier to pick your dream venue.
1) Backdrops For Photography
Photography is one of the most important elements of the wedding day because it’s essential to capture every moment where possible. My job is to make your day look BEAUTIFUL – and a gorgeous venue helps SO much. There’s going to be people on your wedding day who might not be with you at some point in the future, and so it’s good to have those people captured in a photograph for you to look back on time and time again. Backdrops for your photography, therefore, are very important. You want a venue that’s going to offer some pretty spectacular views and spots for you to have photos alone, with your partner, family, and friends. The more unique spots, the better, so it’s worth doing a scope of the venue to check this. You also might have ideas of photos you want taken, and so they’ll need to also be considered when looking at venues to see which one matches up the closest. Make sure the venue you pick feels like you!
2) An Indoor & Outdoor Ceremony Option
With any wedding reception venues, it’s also good to consider the ceremony option. Some will have a church wedding then opt for a different venue for the reception itself. Others might want to have the day all in one place so as not to have the hassle of moving anyone around. With that being said, it’s worth thinking about indoor and outdoor ceremony options. Ideally, it would be good to find one where you can have the option of either or, depending on the weather, of course. It’s never a bad idea to have a few backup ideas at your wedding venue!
3) Does It Suit Your Budget?
With your budget, everyone is different. And you shouldn’t be stretching yourself too thin financially, to the point that you end up in lots of debt. At the end of the day, it’s just a one day event, so it’s important not to go too overboard with your plans. Venues can cost a lot of money to hire and so it’s good to think about what is available for your budget. This way, you can just the venues that match what you want to spend, rather than looking at ones you can’t afford and falling in love with it. Make a budget and stick with it!
4) Consult Your Checklist
Your checklist when it comes to your wedding day is important and unique to you. Therefore, it’s good to look at what your needs and requirements are for the day itself. Does it check correctly against everything in relation to the venue and the ideas you might have for the theme, etc? There are lots to consider, and as your wedding venue is the main feature, it’s something you want to get right.
Looking for a wedding venue can take time, or it might be a case of seeing the first one and finding it straight away. Use these tips to help find your dream venue.
