The Engagement Photos at Butterfly Beach

This fun and joyful beach engagement photos session at Butterfly Beach was exactly the way we wanted to start our Spring Wedding Season. It was perfect weather out, and Santa Barbara really has the prettiest beaches which are perfect for engagement photos. While this is a little bit outside of the city, it wasn’t busy at all compared to the downtown Santa Barbara beaches which made it an intimate and fun experience. We spent the hour galavanting around this Santa Barbara Beach and taking lots of photos. Natalie and Edgar were super playful with each other, which made the session super flawless and authentic.

Takeaways from these Engagement Photos at Butterfly Beach

I loved how Edgar and Natalie weren’t scared of getting wet and their pup, Chewbacca, was absolutely perfect! If you’re going to do a beach engagement photo session I highly recommend coming in casual clothing that you don’t mind getting wet. If you love this session, I also recommend also checking out this awesome San Diego Engagement Session I did at Scripps Pier. Beach engagement photos are perfect for laid-back couples that just want to have a good time like Natalie and Edgar.

Here’s what Natalie had to say about her and Edgar’s engagement:

How They Met

We met while attending college at CSU Channel Islands. Coincidentally, we were taking the same Political Science class and I asked him to study with me as I hate/hated Political Science. We talked for a week and have been inseparable since, going on 9 years!!

What they love doing together

We are absolute foodies! We love exploring LA and finding new yummy restaurants!

How he proposed:

He proposed while on a surprise trip to Leoness Winery in Temecula! Picture included because I still can’t believe he proposed lol

Where they will be getting married in Santa barbara:

We are doing a small backyard wedding in Santa Barbara with our family!

All about the Cute Pup

We got Chewbacca In San Diego at a dog rescue. He is a 2 year old goldendoodle that we’ve had since he was 6 weeks
