Upscale Fall Microwedding at Spring Mountain Ranch in Red Rock Canyon

This stylish micro-wedding was a fantastic way to end our 2020 wedding season. The bride and groom, Marissa and Geoffrey came out from Texas to elope in Las Vegas and they wanted to do it their own way. We absolutely love this! Couples who incorporate details into their wedding that make their Vegas Wedding feel special are our favorite kind of couple. This couple lived that up 100% and we were frickin here for it.

I know it’s very stressful for my vegas destination wedding couples to plan their wedding from so far away. This is why it is SO important to hire an event planner + photographer who you trust completely. Click here to see our favorite 10 wedding planners in Las Vegas and of course, if you’re looking for photos – let’s chat! There is no reason for you to stress about your Las Vegas Wedding if you have the vendor team of your dreams. We are 1000% happy to handhold you through the process, do site visits for you, and anything else you need. We are your eyes and ears on the ground to make sure you feel well taken care of and prepared for your las vegas destination wedding!

It was important to Marissa and Geoffrey that they incorporate a lot of wild elements into their Las Vegas Desert Microwedding. From Marissas bouquet that was full of pampas grass, feathers, dahlias, and cotton it was a beautiful boho bouquet that was perfect for their free spirited wedding. And of course, Geoffrey got to rent an exotic car to arrive in style.

But don’t take it from me – here’s what they had to say!

How they met:

Marissa: We met online! We went on our first date to El Big Bad in downtown Houston where we enjoyed both of our favorites, tacos and margaritas! We finished the night running through downtown in the pouring rain, bar hopping. The rest is history!

How he proposed:

Marissa: We went to Lake Travis, TX for my birthday weekend getaway (so I thought). When we arrived, we went for a walk by the lake. I was told later on that this is where he was supposed to propose. When we got back to our AirBnB, we realized we had lost the key on our walk and could not get in. We were looking everywhere frantically! I went to check the lockbox again, just for good measure, and when I turned around, Geoffrey was on one knee. I of course said YES! I thought “losing” the key was all part of the proposal plan but turns out… we had REALLY lost the key. After we had to contact the AirBnB host to get another key, we FaceTimed our family and closest friends to share the news! We ended the evening with a nice dinner and champagne on the lake.

Why they eloped in Vegas:

Marissa: We wanted a small ceremony with a beautiful backdrop but also conveniently located outside of a larger city. We looked in Utah and Colorado but ultimately decided Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas would be the best option for ease of travel, accommodations and nice dining. We didn’t want the stress of vendors and a guest list and just wanted the focus to be on the most important thing, our union! Best decision EVER!
