Woodsy Old Mill Park Wedding | Mill Valley, CA

Arynn and Kris had their beautiful woodsy Old Mill Park wedding on October 2nd, 2021. They were one of our many COVID brides that pushed their weddings a year or more, so it was incredibly gratifying to see them finally get married. These COVID brides have been so patient and understanding, and I’m so happy to see them “graduate” from single life to married life.

The inspiration behind the Ceremony at Old Mill Park

Our couple wanted a laid-back celebration of love. With a semi-casual dress and mix-matched dresses and tuxes – it was perfect. All the wedding party was dressed in colors that suited them well, and it felt very relaxed and fun. We love it when couples let their wedding parties wear what makes them happy! It always creates a wonderful juxtaposition of colors for us to photograph. In addition to that, they had a slightly bohemian vibe with an offbeat door in place of a wedding arch. It fit the redwoods wedding vibe very well, we think! With woody natural tones, and fresh sunlight filtering in through the redwoods it was a beautiful ceremony.

Special Notes about the Ceremony

It was very important to Arynn that they have an intimate ceremony with their favorite loved ones. A few years back, Arynn lost her best friend Amanda. It was a huge turning point in Arynn’s life and the loss played a huge role in how she designed her wedding. She always knew that she wanted Amanda to be her maid of honor. So she made that happen in a very unique and heartwarming way. With her picture next to her the entire ceremony, Amanda was with her in spirit. And kept her maid of honor spot. It was really touching. and was such a special way to remember a lost loved one.

Final thoughts on this Old Mill Park Wedding

We absolutely adore Redwoods’ Weddings. As Bay Area Natives, the Redwoods always hold a special part of our hearts. There really isn’t anything like the forests, and they hold the exact amount of romance and mysticism for a wedding. We hope you love this wedding as much as we loved documenting it!
