Luxury Picnic Engagement Photos at Floyd Lamb Park in Las Vegas, Nevada

Corrina and Aaron are definitely one of the cutest couples I’ve worked with all year! I started chatting with Corrina a few months ago in the midst of the pandemic and we really just hit it off and it was so fun to help them plan their dream las vegas engagement photo session. One of the cutest parts of the session (besides them and their adorable puppy!) was definitely their beautiful luxury picnic setup by the talented Eileen Entertainment.

It was very important to Corrina to get beautiful high quality photos to remember their short engagement photos by. Aaron is in the military and we actually had to change the date to accommodate his upcoming deployment. They even moved their wedding date (10.10.20! so bummed I was already booked but they’re in good hands with a fellow las vegas wedding photographer + planner I’ve worked with before!)

For the first half of the session, Aaron wore his military uniform to pay tribute to his job. So much respect to him for everything he does! And knowing that he was deploying a few short weeks later — made me honestly a bit nervous, haha. I always recognize the significance the photos I take will play — serving as nostalgic memories but this one was happening way sooner than I expected since he was deploying so soon!

We decided to do their las vegas engagement session at Floyd Lamb Park in the Northwestern part of the Las Vegas Valley for a few reasons. One, being neither of us have been there before! I’ve been trying to get couples to venture out there with me before and they’ve all turned me down. But obviously, Corrina is awesome and it was nice to experience the park with someone else who hadn’t been there before. It’s one of the most unique places in Las Vegas I’ve ever been – that’s for sure! For one – it’s humid! I’ve gotten kinda used to the dryness that accompanies with being here and that was NOT the case. There are hundreds of birds that live near the pond in the middle of the park and they made their prescence known with lots of loud noises (Isla loved that!)

Even more importantly – SO MUCH LUSH GREENERY. Don’t get me wrong, I love desert landscapes especially for wedding photos in Las Vegas as well as engagement photos but holy wow – so much green. In addition to the pond in the middle of Floyd Lamb Park there are also streams that are tucked away amongst the greenery. All of the streams had cute little bridges going over them which created the PERFECT photo opportunities.

Corrina was adamant that they include their adorable Blue Nosed Pitbull in their engagement photos which I was more than happy to accomodate. Look at Isla, she’s a cutie that loves ALL the attention. She plays an integral role in her humans lives so I feel it’s ALWAYS valuable to incorporate your pets into your engagement photo session. Even if they’re cats! I had an engagement session last year that my couple dressed up their cats and we took pictures in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. Real talk. But anyways, Isla was a CHAMP during this session and look how happy she looks with her humans! (pssst. who are we kidding? she was the real star of the show)
