Bianca and Ian had a relaxed luxury elopement with their two adorable children at the renowned Junipero Serra Museum in San Diego, California. Micro-weddings with very few guests – normally just immediate family and best friends are the weddings to have in 2020, that’s for sure! These cuties got officially married at the San Diego Courthouse and met me in Presidio Park for their wedding photos. Elopements and micro-weddings are whatever you want. I definitely enjoy the slower pace of them as well as the intimacy of them.
Junipero Serra Museum is known as the birthplace of California and is located in Old Town, San Diego. With iconic architecture of the classic Spanish Mission style and sweeping views of San Diego as well as the Pacific Ocean, Junipero Serra Museum the perfect place to have your San Diego wedding. Even if you plan on having a modern Southern California style wedding – choosing this historic wedding venue in San Diego is a nod to the distinctive relevance and local history.
Southern California elopements and weddings are always gorgeous because Southern California is one of the prettiest places on the planet. California in general, really. With amazingly creamy lighting, beautiful sunsets, and amazing Spanish style mission architecture this was a beautiful elopement that felt like the epitome of a Southern California Wedding. I have a lot of clients who aren’t even from California and choose to have a destination wedding in California. It’s pretty common to then have your honeymoon in California. One popular way is to road trip across CA after saying your nuptials. Pretty rad idea! People from California (myself included) sometimes take it for granted and forget what a beautiful place we have the luck of living in and seeing daily.
As a southern California wedding photographer, I love venues that play to both history as well as modern elegance. There is something about traditional symmetrical archways and red stoned floors that speak to me. Mission style architecture plays up aesthetics that truly speak to me. Or I might just be super biased because I’m from San Diego, haha.
For her San Diego elopement, Bianca wore a beautiful off the shoulder couture gown from Jinza Bridal paired with a floor-length veil. The name of this particular design is Vincy and is known for its soft tulle and silk crepe skirt. Doesn’t it look simply stunning on her? We’re HUGE fans of those sleeves.
Ian wore a classic and masculine Navy suit designed by the world renowned Balani Custom Clothiers who is known for their expertly curated collections. Doesn’t Ian look dashing? He tied his suit with a more relaxed swirled tie.
Congrats to this beautiful couple on tying the knot for forever and wishing them and their little family nothing but the happiest of lives together.
