Peach Summer Napa Vineyard Wedding at Andretti Winery

Kelly and Steve got married in the beautiful Napa Valley with 100 of their closest friends and family. They first met while on a hike in San Francisco with mutual friends 5 years ago and they discovered their shared love for Ja Rule and it’s all history from there. They live in downtown Oakland with their adorable pup and wanted to get married in Napa because it’s one of their favorite parts about living in the Bay Area. Who can blame them?! Napa is one of our favorite places to shoot weddings because not only is it historically amazing but the venues are unparalleled. Kelly and Steve chose Andretti Winery because it felt special to them and was an entirely outdoor wedding venue in Napa. They looked at a lot of vineyard wedding venues in Napa and they kept coming back to this one. And we can honestly see why. With a bold yellow Italian inspired villa vibe and romantic vineyard backdrop it’s obvious why they fell in love with this Napa wedding venue. Perfect for a classic wine country wedding with bold aesthetics.

Napa Summer Weddings are always the best. Great weather, beautiful colors, and late sunsets. They chose corals, pinks, and succulents to play on their love of summer and their overall laid back luxury vibe. Kylls bridesmaids looked GORGEOUS in their light summer dresses and their bouquets were seriously gorgeous. I will say – succulents make your bouquet HEAVY. Something to think about if you are thinking about adding succulents to your bridal bouquet (arm day!)

Kelly and Steve decided to do a first look. Not all our couples do a first look and that is okay. Some couples want pure and unadulterated reactions when they walk down the aisle to their soulmate and others prefer the intimacy of a first look. Whatever you decide for your own wedding – make sure it FEELS right to you. For them – it was a first look and it was so adorable.

They added a lot of special touches to the wedding that incorporated cultural nods to their heritages – both of them are Mexican and so they had a beautiful Dia De Los Muertos themed wedding cake. I absolutely adore when couples include things that are special to them – it makes wedding truly unique and makes the day that much more intimate and special.

It should be no surprise that they walked down the aisle to Ja Rule. And even though they did a first look – it was still very emotional and beautiful. Kelly’s family played an unstripped live violin version of Always on Time by Ja Rule while Kelly walked down the aisle. A lot of laughs ensued.

I always make sure to get some groom portraits which sometimes get overlooked. They are always some of my brides favorites and the grooms always look dashing! Steve was no exception. He donned a classic blue suit with a fun floral light pink tie and some secret suspenders. And, of course, his bout had some cute little succulents on it.

They chose to have a Dia De Los Muertos cake to pay tribute to their Mexican heritage. And also a really sweet note – Kelly had never tried Red Velvet Cake before. She was saving it for her wedding day. She took every opportunity to shove it in Steve’s face too. 😉
