Marisol and Mateo had their Winter Wedding at the Retreat at Mount Charleston and man was it gorgeous. We got so lucky on the weather, too! There was heavy snowfall the day after their wedding, so we just missed it. It’s amazing how things are meant to work out.

Marisol still wanted to have all of the classic feels of a winter wedding, and we absolutely adore how she pulled it together. First, she wore the most gorgeous shawl during her minimalist mountain ceremony and we think it works so well. It was a fluffy white shawl adorned with gorgeous little beads that elevated the whole wedding day look.

To give it all the intimate wedding feels, she had a perfect for two cake that was adorned with minimalist florals and was just the absolute cutest. There are absolutely no rules to eloping! I think this is a super important point, because it means your elopement can look like the wedding of your dreams. There is nothing you can’t do for your elopement. And if that means doing like Marisol and having an adorable cake for two – do it! We love it when our couples do things that are important to them. The finishing touches on this adorable elopement were the custom champagne glasses that were adorned with their names and wedding date. This is a great keepsake to remember your wedding day by, and can be passed down for generations to come.

We are obsessed with the snowcapped mountain views in the back, the seclusion and intimacy of the venue, and all the photo opportunities it has. It’s a great place to get married during the hot summer months (It’s 20+ degrees cooler up here than in Las Vegas), or for an intimate Winter wedding. There’s no other venues like this in Las Vegas, and we can’t wait to return and shoot another wedding here.
